Solved

I can't open the Sims 4, all that happens is a tiny window appears.

So every day I log into origins, go to My Games, click on The Sims 4, and click play.

I have played 100 successful hours of this game. I love The Sims 4!

But about two days ago, (A few days after I installed The Sims 4 Get to Work), I log on, Click play, but all that happens is this tiny window in the top left corner appears. The only thing the window displays is a minimize button, a maximize button, and an X to close it. The maximize button is greyed-out so it does nothing whenever I click on it. If I click on the X, it says "The Sims 4 is not responding" and there are two options: Wait for the program to respond or Close the program. I have tried both multiple times. I have tried repairing the game several times, and restarting my computer. I have cleared the Cache, and searched all over the internet for a solution. I even asked a friend (Who is kind of experienced with computers) for help, and they couldn't figure it out either. I have no mods or custom content installed whatsoever, and I never have. The only expansion packs I have are the free Christmas one and The Sims 4 Get To Work.

The Sims 4 used to run fine for me. I have had this issue once before, and I resolved it but now I can't remember how I did it....

Can someone please help me! The only thing I haven't tried is to uninstall and reinstall the game, and I will only do that if there is no other option.

I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me!

I am using a Windows 8, pavilion, Beats Audio laptop. If you are on Windows seven or even XP or Mac, I would still like to hear what you might know about the problem. Thank you 🙂
