I can't see the videos I recorded in sims 4

So I've been trying to record some videos in the sims 4 for awhile now with the V button, but when I go to Electronic Arts>Videos and click on the video I recorded it plays but it's just black and nothing I recorded shows up on the screen. I have Windows 10 installed on my computer if that helps any.

    Hey, I had the same problem but im on a Mac. it only comes through as a mute audio file. I tried using another app on my computer to view it but nothing worked. Any ideas?

    (Edit - User downloaded Smart Converter for Mac, all other Mac posts split into their own thread and moved to the Mac forum here, Bluebellflora)
