I'm trying to start a new game without an existing character, but when I try to create a Sim and select a lot, all the lots have exclamation marks on them and I can't select them.
I've removed all the CCs in the Mods folder, but it's the same. I heard that it could be become when I have For Rent Pack but I don't have it.
I would really appreciate it if you could provide a solution. how can I fix it?😂

If so, it has been caused by Smart App most of the time. Instructions to disable it are in the thread, if you do in fact have it enabled.
If you're not running Smart App, or disabling it doesn't help, please let me know. Please also post screenshots of the issue if yours don't look like the ones in the thread.
I'm also having this problem after trying to fix a last exception error. I took out the mod I thought was the problem and then the worlds were unusable. Tried everything I've came across to fix it, but I have no clue why it's like this.
I've had a last exception error in my game and after checking I removed the 'more cas columns', seemed to be a common issue. I thought it would fix my game but none of my saves will load and even making new ones I'm having the same issue. Every time I get to the worlds and click on them all the lots are empty and have exclamation points above them. This was not happening before I took the mod out.
I have so far removed my mods folder, deleted the thumb cache file, uninstalled/reinstalled, verified all my files through steam (I don't see a repair option people have mentioned), but nothing has worked. I'm unsure of the problem. I've had my pc for almost 2 months now, so this is all still a little new to me. I don't think this is a mods issue because I removed them, but I really don't know.
Does anyone know what this issue could be?

Please also list the mod you removed, and I would really be very interested in this for science, plus the other mods you still have installed. I don't need to know about custom content unless it has a mod component.
puzzlezaddict yes my game looks like the screenshots in the thread. I took out one mod "more cas column" and I currently use the basmental drugs mod, mccc/ mc woohoo, and the relationships pregnancy overhaul (RPO). I have miscellaneous cas and build cc, and the zodiac traits installed?
My mods folder is not currently in the game. I did check the smart app and its running but I'm a little worried if it would be safe to disable it. If it'll fix my sims I don't have a problem disabling it, but I just want to make sure my pc will still be secure if so.
Grey0507 Sorry for the late reply. I'd be curious to know whether the updated game with updated versions of these mods has the issue, and if so, whether disabling Smart App helps.
Your PC should be just as secure with Smart App disabled as it was before this feature was introduced a few weeks ago, and Microsoft is also apparently rolling out a change that would allow users to reenable Smart App without reinstalling Windows. So this is not a significant risk. Any change is a small risk, computers being what they are, but this isn't notably more so than, say, switching the antivirus you use in general. And you wouldn't be at risk from turning the computer on, just downloading new apps that may or may not be secure.
