Starmiloangel That means your graphics card's device ID isn't in the game's database, which is because the game's database isn't up-to-date. You can ignore the message—it doesn't have any practical effect other than determining what graphics settings the game uses by default, and you can change the settings to whatever you want.

I’ve been playing Sims four since 2017 and it’s always worked continuously no matter what computer I’m using and no matter what updates it keeps getting however since October I have been unable to play it at all.
My previous post I mentioned that my graphics card was up-to-date and that this is the first time that I’ve actually seen the loading screen since this problem started occurring in October last year I’ve removed all my mods from case Forge I try removing the ads but every time I click X it completely glitches out and doesn’t allow me to even select a new game because it won’t let me go past that I’m seriously at a loss I have no idea what to do Starmiloangel Please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.
If this doesn't help, please let me know what you mean by "glitches out," perhaps with a screenshot. Please also provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

I can't provide a video or screenshot but the best way I can describe it is if I click the X to get rid of the add it goes straight out of it to the regular desktop screen.

I tried your suggestion but it just asked me to download it once more
Starmiloangel Where is your game installed? I asked you to move the user folder, with saves and other user files inside, not the program files folder, which is the game install itself. But if you installed the game into Documents > Electronic Arts, you'd have moved both at the same time. You can see the install location in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.
If the game is NOT installed anywhere in Documents, you moved the wrong folder. In that case, move the correct one instead, as this is a simple and important test.
