I have 2 black boxes on the sides of my screen in the sims 4

I was just playing the sims 4 like normal, and when I went to log on and waited to load, 2 giant black bars have appeared on the sides of my screen, and when I logged on it said my UI scale was wrong, but it's not because I've played with the same UI and never changed it, and my other games are just fine and they don't have a problem, but I went to my settings and changed the resolution anyway but it did nothing it was still the same. I didn't have much progress on the game nor did I have any expansion packs so I fine deleting it and I could reinstall for free, So I did and again and again and again, from different places like steam and EA itself, I have always download the game though Xbox and I even downloaded it from there too again but they never go away???

  • @d572zwyq3k98  Please go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and move the options.ini file the desktop, then test the game.  This will reset all in-game options to defaults.  Don't change any of the settings, at least not yet; just let me know whether this helps.

If the black bars are still present, and you don't want to redo all your other settings, you can delete the new options.ini and restore the old one.  In that case, please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

And let me know what in-game resolutions you've tried.
