I can only assume that the 2nd disk is the soundtrack bcus my first disk, disc 1 installed fine and included all premium content such as the animal hats, up all night and life of the party. I have all of that so I really don't know what else to say, do or think.
I don't get it and I wish someone from Ea knew exactly what disc 2 is.
- Anonymous12 years agoThe install may have completed via download as well if your Origin was online.
The 2nd disc definitely contains install data, about 600Mb of it (some of it, for instance, is in-game lots). But if you're connected to the Internet there's a good chance that Origin downloaded install data on the fly. 🙂 I put my code into Origin with disk 1 but after I did that, the window just closed and it doesn't even give me a like an installation bar and I have no idea how to install the game at all.
I hate EA.

If you click on the Sims 4 icon in Origin (My Games tab), you should be able to start the install from there. - Anonymous12 years ago
I installed my game through origin, the entire game downloaded with only disk 1 put in, I was never prompted to put in disk 2. When I try try to run disk 2 it's just a bunch of zip files. Since it installed 100% with disk 1 do I even need disk 2?
Also,In game play, little things like glasses won't show detail. In create a sim glasses look great but once I'm in live mode the glasses became entirely blacked out and I had to take them off my sim. Is anyone else having this problem? And does it have anything to do with my not loading disk 2?
Thanks

I'd recently gotten the Sims 4 Limited Edition game and currently run it on windows 7. The entire download of the game has been an irritatingly lengthly process. After downloading origin and beginning to install from disc one, the actual download of the game itself took only about an hour, but as many have said, I as well was never prompted to insert disc two. Opening it up it seems there's many zip files possibly needed for the game which I haven't quite figured out how to download. Opening up the game, the loading screen and many other buttons are crossed with muntiple bright pink and white stripes. Could this have anything to do with having only installed disc one?

To unbury a dead thread, Disk 2 is proving problematic for me. For one, the game stops downloading at 99% (8.55/8.57 GB) and keeps prompting me for disk two, with the limited edition I see no way to install it via origin without the disk, yet the disk refused to install or even register as a disk on my computer, as it keeps prompting me to insert a disk when I open the disk drive.
Any help would be appreciated, I can't wait to play Sims 4!
Thanks in advance!
- I really wanted to play but I can't anyone have this problem or a solution to it?

You can either try to download the game instead or exchange the disc in the store you bought it.
- Thats the onlybway the game can download if jts from origin
