I'm having a problem

I'm playing The Sims 4 on PC, but none of my sims show up in the game, even though it says they're home. This happens with all my households. I can't interact with any objects, including the mailbox or phone. The pie menu won't open either. My sims' needs are decreasing. I've tried repairing the game, clearing the cache, and updating the EA app, but nothing has worked.
