I'm missing the EAlauncher.exe file (Solved + solution)

I don't know if this is the right place however I can't start a new thread on EA questions HQ because it's asking me to select something and then not showing me the options but effectively since an update in February 2024 I have been unable to use EA app. I have tried a million times over and every suggestion however I keep getting the pop up that I'm missing this file and yet I cannot find it anywhere I am also the only admin and user of the laptop. Does anyone know how can I fix this?

Solution: delete the folders individually, do that for nearly a whole year (jk but that's whole long I've had to) get IDM integration module, install that, go to EA, install EA app, it should open the IDM pop up to install it, don't change anything, open the installer, repair, click it again, launch EA app, boom

  • corpsey_lovely  Download a fresh copy of the App installer and run it.  If it works, it'll reinstall the App.  If you get a message that the App is already installed, allow the installer to repair it.

If this doesn't help, uninstall the App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine).  Use the Intensive scanning method when asked.  Restart your computer and try again to reinstall.

This is a solution I've tried since February and it hasn't worked since Revo uninstaller cant even find the file to uninstall it.

  • corpsey_lovely  Open the Task Manager and make sure nothing from EA is running, including in the background processes list.  Open C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts, and delete the EA Desktop folder inside.  Then restart your computer and try again to install the EA App.  Let me know what happens.
