Barry, I know you have done what you can and I appreciate your assistance but, I am still having the same problem with my game. I've run every scan known to man, uninstalled and re-installed at least a half dozen times did every step the live chat tech told me to do, unfortunately our chat was cut off before we were done and I could not resume it. So, I left a message at the service center or whatever it is for EA to call me and I waited over 2 hours and no call. Returned to see if I could contact someone and the message I got was that my case was closed.
I would like some help in getting my game working as it's been 2 weeks now and it would certainly be nice if I were able to play this game I paid so much for.
Is there any way I could possibly get some help from someone, somewhere please?
Please run the following two files from the default locations below, the path will be different if you did not install the game to its default drive/folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\__Installer\vc\vc2013\redist\vcredist_x64.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\__Installer\vc\vc2013\redist\vcredist_x86.exe
Let me know if you continue to have an issue with that error message 🙂
