Is my EA account broken?

First off, some information:

  • I play on Steam (PC)
  • I have no Mods or CC installed
  • I play on the newest version

I have had this issue for a long time now. I am unable to upload anything to the gallery, and my profile does not show up when searching for my EA ID. Additionally, on all my builds it says "created by: none" instead of my username. After taking a closer look at my EA account, I found that under "Game specific identity" there is a name I do not recognise. I am not sure how important that is or what the purpose of that identity is, but I still thought it was weird.

What happens when I try to share something to the gallery?

After I save a build to my library and click on share to gallery, it shows up in my showcase, but it won't show up when searching for it in the gallery. When I try to share another build to the library, nothing happens. It loads for a couple of seconds, and that's it. It won't show up in my showcase either, not even after clicking on add to the showcase. 

What have I tried to fix it?

  • Repair the game via Steam
  • Delete the whole Sims4 folder under Documents/ElectronicArts/Sims4 and start with a fresh save file

I have no idea what to do anymore. If anybody has an idea, please tell me.

    This sounds like we'll need the live support team to review your account details and make sure everything is set up correctly- this isn't something we can look into with you on the forums as we don't have access to your account information, but you can contact live support here for more assistance on this.

    Hi there! Sorry for the late reply, I really appreciate your help! It’s been a little while now, and I’m still struggling to find a solution to my issue. I tried chatting with live support, but it just led me back to help articles that I’ve already gone through, and unfortunately, they didn’t really address my concerns. I would really love to chat with a real person who can assist me directly, but I’m not quite sure how to do that. I’ve tried to open a support ticket several times, but it seems like I keep getting redirected to unrelated posts instead (same as what the live support did).

    Is there anything else I can do to reach someone who can take a look at my account and help with this issue? Thank you!

    I had sent the live support a message over this menu a few weeks ago:

    I didn't get an answer yet so I just tried it again, hoping to get a bit further this time! I will let you know if there are any updates to this case (:

    Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get in touch with an advisor through the live-support feature yet. Every time I complete filling out the form, I don't receive a follow-up. I am unsure of how the live-support would reach out to me, but so far no one has contacted me, not via email nor via any on-site chat/messaging. 

    I appreciate that you tried to help me out tho! 
    Maybe I’ll just have to accept that I won't be able to use the gallery or be able to save any of my builds😅
