Issue with Mods/Custom Content

I was previously told how to fix this issue, by adding the folder locations as an exception to my antivirus, however, doing so didn't help to fix the issue. My CC is still present. The game still registers the files and saves screenshots accordingly, but it still persists to deny my usage of CC, and blocks myself from enabling CC in my game.

I'm not sure how to fix this, and it's annoying as I don't want to reinstall the game once more or reinstall all the CC again.

Please also let me know what antivirus you use and whether it lists any recent actions involving Sims 4 or the EA App.  If it does, you can try allowing/setting an exception/whatever option is offered.

  • Tried the first option, and now I'm unable to start the game using EA play.

If that doesn't help, try editing Options.ini directly.  It's in the same Sims 4 folder.  Use ctrl-F to search for mods , and change the scriptmodsenabled and modsdisabled settings to 1 and 0, respectively.  Save the change, open the game, and see what you get.
