Keyboard doesn't work properly

So, I got a new laptop and installed Sims4 on it after not playing for quite a while on my old laptop. But my keyboard has issues. In the Sims3 cam I can't use wasd to move around and  , and . don't...

    @arya_droettnig  Go into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4, and remove options.ini.  You'll need to reset all your game options, but hopefully the camera will work.

    If not, try changing your keyboard to an English layout, just as an experiment.  Even if you don't want to play like this going forward, it would be good to know whether it helped.

@puzzlezaddict I have a Standard German qwertz keyboard and I occasionly use an Icelandic layout but never when I play. It has always worked on qwertz but now it doesn't

    @puzzlezaddict Omg. Changing the keyboard to qwerty really worked. Thank you so much. I definetly did not think that it would be that easy.
    Removing options.ini did not work for me btw.
