Lagging, Freezing, and Walking Through Walls
The game has been pretty much unplayable since the most recent base game update. It has been freezing every 30 seconds for up to a minute. My sims are walking through objects and walls like they're not there. And just general lag.
- I have NO mods installed. I removed them all to the desktop before updating.
- I have all EPs (including Lovestruck, but updated before getting it) and GPs and all but one SP. Lots of kits.
- SPECS: Windows 11 Pro 64, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, 32 GB Dual channel RAM, ASRock B650 Steel Legend Motherboard, 4087MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 512MB ATI AMD Radeon Graphics, 1907GB Team Storage
- I have installed every update up to 7/28/24
- I use the EA app
I have tried: - Repairing the game
- Removing all saves to the desktop and reloading the game fresh
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
- Repairing again
- Installing the MCCC app to see if I could get more info, but it doesn't even recognize that a mod is installed (and yes I enabled script mods in the settings)
- Checking that my drivers are all up to date
I have no idea what else to do. Any suggestions? Willing to lose all my saves at this point I just want to be able to play the game.
@Cryptidcosmos Your dxdiag is full of crashes of the graphics driver, so please clean uninstall and reinstall the driver, as described here:

You'll want the game-ready driver, not the studio driver.
If this doesn't help, did you in fact try a new save? I wasn't saying you needed to play with no packs, rather that your test sim should live in one of the base game worlds. It's fine to have all packs installed for this test; just pick somewhere in Willow Creek or Oasis Springs for them to live.
