Live Mode crashing when entering different modes

Whenever I exit Build Mode, Photo Mode, or Paint from Reference, the UI does not load. My screen shows my game playing, but without the sim panels, such as the sim's emotions, and scenario or quest pop-ups in the top left corner. This has only happened today, and I just updated the game before playing. It makes playing the game basically broken and unusable as I can no longer click on anything. The only panel that remains when re-entering Live Mode is the top right panel with camera and settings to save and exit the game.

    RuhemusIII​  Please test without mods or custom content, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package.  You don't need to save your progress.

    Please also see whether you get a lastUIexception file in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 when this happens.  It would be best to delete any you see now, then look for a new one after testing with no mods or cc.  If you find one, open it and delete its first line of text, then attach it to a reply here using the paper clip (Attachment) icon.  Alternately, you can copy the text and paste it into your reply.

    Hey, so since you mentioned that you previously updated the game before this issue started, it is likely due to an outdated mod that you have installed. It is usually related to one that impacts the UI, such as UI Cheats, MC Command Center, or More Traits. I recommend deleting the old version of the mods you have installed and check back on the creator's website to see if they have any recent updates for the mod. I hope this helps.

    Hi, I am having the same problem and it is occurring when I am not playing a scenario. I do play with mods though. 
    Any help on this appreciated :]

    I'm afraid I can't help you, as I'm experiencing the same problem. But now I can't even open up my Sims at all
