Loading Time

When I first load into my game by either pressing Resume or by clicking on a world, the loading time is ALWAYS over 5 minutes. It is so excessive, I have to leave and do something to pass the time until my game loads. It is not my fault and all my mods are up to date. This has been an issue for months.

stacyszmom Suppressing the mods and cc pop-up at the Main Menu can help with loading times. Other than that, this is just how things work. The more data your computer has to load before the game starts running, the longer the process takes, and mods and cc mean more data to load.

stacyszmom Does this happen with your Mods folder removed? If so, what about in a new save, both with the Mods folder present and not? Please test all these scenarios, if you haven't already, and let me know.

Please also let me know if you've put any game data on an external drive.

I removed my mods folder and made a new save. It loaded in less than a minute. Once I added my mods folder back, it took the usual over 5 minutes to load. I don't have any game changing mods, it's mostly CAS and then I have MC Command Center which is up to date. It's not the end of the world, it is just annoying having to wait nearly 10 minutes for my game to load.
