Missing Games after Account Merge

I have spent an extraordinary amount of time with EA support in the last two days. I wanted to merge my two accounts, which seemed to not have any problems with the merge, however, afterward none of my games were in my library or showed on my account as purchased. I have always used the Origin client to play The Sims 4 (and 3 but I knew the issues with not getting my game stuff from TS3) but CS advised that I download and install the EA App instead--however, the games did not show in there either. 

In the last 24 hours I've been told  to just reinstall the EA app, or reinstall Origin multiple times, told they could not help and to contact them again when they might be able to help. It's been quite frustrating, and the last time I spoke to them they sent me here to report my issue, which frankly seems odd since I can't see how someone here can help me when the actual CS can not.

Tonight a CS rep spent a really long time trying to manually add my products to my account but was unable to get them all to go into my account. As of right now, the only games which they were successful in adding back to my account are the following:

Tiny Living

Snowy Escape

Realm of Magic

Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack

Moschino Stuff Pack

Star Wars: Journey to Batuu 

Island Living 

Eco Lifestyle

Dream Home Decorator

Discover University

and something labeled Bonus Content

I have all of the receipts for these items and/or redeem codes for the handful items I had purchased outside of Origin. I desperately need this issue to be corrected in some way or manner. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to offer!

    Sorry to hear you're having issues getting your accounts merged together! If all your kits and packs haven't been moved over to the other account, that's definitely something we'll need the live support to look into again with you- it's not something we can sort on the forums with you as we don't have access to your specific account details. 

    Let's get you with live support from the site here so they can take a look and get the rest of your content moved over for you- I'd also recommend you attach this conversation when you reach out to the team there so they do have something to reference. If you run into any issues contacting the team there, please be sure to let me know!

    Thank you so much. The old account is not working it tells me password is incorrect. I'll try again because right now I'm in the process of once again resetting my PC to factory settings as someone said it worked when they installed the app on another PC because the cache clearing of the app is crashing. I really hope it gets sorted. This is so off putting :/. 

    EA disappoints once again as their official support does nothing but wasting time. One of them didn't know I'm talking about the sims games an hour into the chat.....😑

    UPDATE: Finally someone from the live chat named AKASH, note the name as they seem to be the most competent advisor in there, opened my closed account so I can give them the order numbers of the content EA claimed I have not purchased. I gave them the order numbers and they added my content back. Seems that Incheoin arrivals is callesd South Korean Fashion and Simtimates Collection is called Loungewear or something and they could not find them due to name difference. but is it MY problem or should EA support know that their content is named differently per region? 

    Also Growing Together was not seen as paid but they brought this back too once I gave them the order number. 

    Funny enough I asked a previous advisor who said I do not own the packs and asked me for the order numbers if there is a way for me to check them in my old account and his answer was a plain NO. 

    As a chat advisor for a different company myself I was able to recignise low work ethic that drives customers mad and rude and this made me more upset because I KNOW YOU HAVE the resources as long as you care enough. I wasted 4 days of my life crying out of anger and trying to get my issue sorted with people that couldn't care less and with the exception of maybe 4 out of possibly over 20 chat advisors I spoke to, they were plainly bored and indifferent. 

    Anyway, AKASH should be celebrated in there because I was one step away from legal action and they solved my issue because they cared enough to try!

    PROBLEM SOLVED.

     Someone from EA who knows what they're doing PLEASE help me.

    I had literally every single piece of TS4 content and I had some issues with the payment method for "for rent". I got an email to update it and I followed the link to EA website but clicking update payment method was unresponsive so I tried to contact the support. Solaire from here explained to me how to reach chat support because it seemed impossible and I finally manage to contact them but things only get worse from there. 

    Since the advisors I spoke to seemed to really not understand what the issue is and not willing to try to understand either (they were telling me I have paid and I cannot download the game because of busy servers when I was telling them that I never paid and only realized I was right when I said that if I payed I want a refund...) I thought the easiest way to get this done would be to make a new account, buy for rent there and then have everything else transfered. And this is what we did. But up until yesterday night I contacted countless times, spike to multiple people who didn't seem to have a clue and eventually managed to get through to someone who manually added some of my content back. Told me to wait and do some cache clearing etc and everything else would show, since this didn't work I contacted again and one more advisor managed to add some more stuff. Next one told me all has been moved, one was telling me I don't own any more packs but the next one managed to add some more again. Now I'm stuck missing growing together, simtimates collection and Incheon arrivals, that one of the advisors assured me they have transferred and it is a matter of syncing. The last advisor I spoke to as waiting did not show me my items told me I don't own them and after I insisted that this is not the case he said I own growing together but not the kits and that they are already in my library. At this point I'm desperate, I'm stressed, I wasted two and a half days talking to people who don't seem to even see the same information with each other and they keep trying to get rid of me. Can someone PLEASE help me get my content back. I have save files that this content was used before and I can provide them if needed. I have the bank statement for growing together charges but I do not remember when exactly I bought the specific kits and as my old account is not allowing me access after the merge I'm helpless. This while thing is exhausting. EA is supposed to offer fun not more problems stress and headaches....

    Hi there! I had the same suddenly that it seemed all my packs were missing, and I wasn't sure at all what to do but I figured I'd first try to log out of the EA app and re-sign in. I did that, and then my content was there again. I am not sure if you tried that, but maybe that will sort out the remaining issues for you?

  • This is what I did and after cancelling the EA APP would not sync and it would not allow me to buy it again. It gave me the option to download but of course the download would not complete. It was stuck in limbo. But I wish I had left it because I created a new account, bought this, requested a merge and everything went sideways because the transfer was not completed and I've been talking to live support since Thursday only to eventually be told I don't own one EP and two kits because apparently I should have kept the order numbers before the merge cause now my old account is closed....I have a constant headache these days and honestly I'm starting to think that I just need to give up the game altogether as I've spent about 1k on this DLC and I just realized they can take it away just like that. Disappointment is a mild way to describe the whole support experience. 

  • @IrisuChan Thanks for the guidance but the issue is not with my PC or the app. The advisors who knew what they were doing manually transferred most of my content back. I have cleared cache, restarted the app, logged out, logged in, changed password, clean booted my PC, deleted and re downloaded the app (and all the games multiple times), even reset my pc to factory settings because I only have this PC for the sims 4....nothing works until one shiny advisor out of the pile of rocks says something like "I just made some changes, please take a look" and boom I see like 10-15 items back. This way we managed to get it all back but the latest advisors seem to not be very sure of what to do....they keep saying growing together has been added and the two missing kits they ask me to give them the name correctly when I actually give them the name I see on the app....then claim that they don't find those in my old or new account and that I don't own them. 🥹

    @IrisuChan I replied from my other account, sorry...see I had to create another account and use a different Network to re open my case as it seems they have banned me or something.
