I have downloaded a couple of game play mods for my sims. Everything was working fine, and it even said I downloaded it. Then I started to play, but it never actually worked. I saw many videos trying to figure out what is happening but nothing helped. Can someone give me advice?
@Sushi040408 Hi! As I'm sure you're aware, mods are not supported by EA and as you now surely know discussion of adult themed mods are not allowed on AHQ. With that in mind, if you're still having trouble with the mod, you'll need to contact the creator. Most mod creators have a Patreon or Discord site where you can ask questions and get help. The page from which you downloaded the mod should provide details on how to get help.
If this is your first time using mods, again mods are not supported by EA so you use them at your own risk. Be sure to research potential issues and test mods on game saves you don't care about so that you understand how they work. Here are some basic things to check. You said you downloaded them. Did you also move them to your mods folder? This folder is located in This PC / Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 / Mods . If the mods are in a zipped folder then you'll need to extract the files first.
Also, you must enable mods and CC in the game options menu, in the "Other" tab.
Click either the main menu options button or the in-game options button
Then select the Game Options button
Select the Other tab and check the CC and mods boxes
Also, double check that you have the most recent version, as outdated versions may not be compatible with the game. You'll need to check for updates periodically, especially when there is an update to the Sims.
