brighthaireddumb Please check your antivirus for any recent actions related to Sims 4 or the EA App. If necessary, allow whatever process was blocked.
If that doesn't help, please start a new save and see whether you can save your progress. I'm not saying you need to get rid of your current save, only that this is a useful test.
I excluded the ea folder and ts4 folder from my antivirus and that seems to be working, the game is lagging a lot but i created a new save, closed the game, and opened it with no issues so I'm going to hope it's fixed for now, thank you!
