Moved in Sims disappearing

I've had this issue for two days now. I am playing on my PC, and my game successfully downloaded to the newest version. 

I was in the gallery of the game, and found a family that I wanted to move into the game to play. The family had no mods/cc, and the version I have is from the packs I own. In CAS everything works, and the family loads properly in there. It is after the CAS that the issue pops up.

After accepting the family, I tried moving them in, and the first time the screen wouldn't stop loading. I relaunched the game, and the family I moved in had defaulted to one of the NPC families. I tried loading the file and move them in that way but the game knocked me back to the world screen, and the family vanished. Shut down the game, and deleted the save file, and tried again. The family vanished, and brought me back to the worlds screen. I went back to the main screen, and the family showed up, but when I tried to load them, they weren't anywhere. Tried to move them into an older save file, and they vanished again.
