my baby changed colour

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? The most recent one as of the 18/11/20 (sorry I'm not sure)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats & Dogs, Get Famous, Island Living, Seasons, Get To Work, My first pet stuff, Toddler stuff, Parenting
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure
What happens when the bug occurs? My baby changes colours and I am unable to change them back to their original colour
What do you expect to see? While my baby is in their crib, they are a different colour (not the original given colour), but when the parent picks up the baby to hold them, it changes back to it's originally given colour, then when they get put back down, they change back to the non-original colcour.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The recent update

I don't know what triggered this to happen but it happened around the time that the game had it's big recent update. Obviously I have no problem with the colour of the baby's skin but as this occured in my main game, it is a little irritating as it doesn't fit in with my family. I have the crib mod, but I've had it for years and this has never happened. If the baby is laying in there crib, untouched, they remain the unoriginal colour, but as soon as the baby is picked up, it changes back to the original given colour, then as soon as the are put back down, they change back to the unoriginal colour. I have tried many things and nothing has worked. If anyone could help me figure out this problem it would be so appreciated.

  • @MooeyB14--yes. you should always check with the creators to make sure that all your mods are updated (or confirmed as working) for the current game version. that way you'll know what to keep as it is, what to update, and what to remove. 🙂

  • I don't know if this is just me but in this update they added new skin tones which made all of my baby's skin tones change to random shades. I don't know if this is just me having this glitch, but nothing I have tried has worked.

@girlygirly2007 Seems you weren't prompted to fill out the form.

Could you please edit your post and then fill it out ? Editing should trigger it.

Are you using any default cc skins ?

NVM merged your post with newer report. Are you using mods/cc in your game ?

  • @MooeyB14--have you tested without it?

this mod has been known to cause this after previous patches, though. the creator will need to update it.

Just wondering, once I redownload the mod, will my baby automatically change back to it's original colour, or will there be any complications? Thanks.
