For anyone currently suffering from the issue of "The Sims 4 Has Stopped Working" upon trying to load up the game, I decided I would let everyone know how I finally managed to resolve the issue for me.After six hours of troubleshooting, 2 EA Live Help Chats and a lot of perserverance, I fixed my issue by first checking the Clean Boot.I was able to load the program no problem once in Clean Boot so I knew the issue had to be a conflict with another program. Out of Clean Boot, EA helped walked me through resolving the issue by first ending all unnecessary programs in the Task Manager. (CNTRL + ALT + Delete, then open task manager). Go to processes and start ending programs that are run by the Owner or any user name that does not involve the computer (I.E. System, etc.) Then try loading up your game. I was able to load it at that point outside of Clean Boot, but Origin was stuck in offline mode. At that point I just had to go in and re-update my internet connection and ensure it was not on a proxy server. (Control Panel + Internet Options) Check the connections tab and make sure the proxy server is not checked and then check for Internet settings. After all that, I was finally able to load up my game in online mode and no longer having any troubles. Granted I have not been able to dive in to the game yet, so who knows if I will experience anymore bugs along the way. But for now I know I can at least get in.Hope this helps someone else out to!

i was having the same issue for a week until i found something that worked for me.1. open up origin 2. go to 'My Games'3. click on the 'i' button next to the 'play' button by the sims 4 game4. then click on 'game properties' 5. check the box to disable origin in gamehope it works for you too 🙂

i am happy to report that with today's update i no longer receive message that the sims 4 has stopped working (this was in system reliability) everytime i launched game. I was able to play the game with no problems even with this message.

Ok then, can you repair the game (right click on the game in Origin to get the option) and check for any driver updates?

@fsjjp Do you get a crash report in the reliability monitor? Can you play for a bit or does it crash on startup? Is the error message exactly as per the thread title?

No I.E. before System just stood for as an example. You don't want to close System's currently running in the task manager. You will want to close out anything that says its being runned with the Username "Owner" or whatever you might have re-named your profile to when logged in. Make sure you DO NOT end the task manager though or explorer.exe

the strange thing is that every time i start sims4 i get a new entry in reability history that sims 4 has stopped working, but my game is running fine and origin too, whats the message about!?

i have same as person above everytime i load game it hangs when i get to main screen on bottom it says i am offline. (origin is set to onine as well as game) top says not responding and mouse is blue swirl. then i go to next screen i am able to play game without further messages but if i close and restart same message in both event viewer and reliabilty report. i purchased game with disks. i did do a repair game. i do not use any mods. and it does not matter if i am offline in origin or online same message appears at this time
