My game always crash when I try to save it. March 19th 2025

Hi, since I've updated my game to recent expansion pack, my game always crash whenever I try to save it in live mode, placing new build on lot, even playing my sims in small business venue. Yes, I put mods and cc in my game, but I make sure both are up-to-date with recent patch.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

  • Another update:

As you know, I've repaired my game for a couple of times, but it's still laggy and crashing, like every other minute. Today, I got all my graphic cards updated. Decided to postpone updating my game. I've turned off my antivirus and wifi before I jump into the game, and the game works better than before (even though it's still crashing at some point, but it's not as often as before). At least, I can still play for few hours without any crash.

But the main problem isn't solved yet. I'm still looking for the cause of the crash, and I still need help to address it. I'll attach my latest dxdiag file. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

puzzlezaddict  what... I just found out there's Asus Software Manager, idk how it got into my laptop. I disabled them and I got my game updated today.  I play for few hours and it went smoothly, no crash whatsoever. Updating my driver gives a stark difference in my game if it compares to a week ago. I turned off my antivirus before I play, just in case. Thank you for responding, I really appreciate that.

  • myxosphere  After looking at your first dxdiag, I was going to suggest updating the Nvidia graphics driver, but I can see you're running the newest driver now.  Your new dxdiag lists one breakpoint error, as opposed to the large pile of them in the first one, but it also lists a number of crashes of Asus Software Manager.  Is there a reason you're running this app on an MSI laptop?  If you don't have a specific, current use for it, I'd get rid of it; even if you do, I'd uninstall it long enough to test the game.

If that doesn't help, are your current crashes still completely random, or is there a pattern now that you've installed the newer driver?  I ask because the crashing could have initially had multiple causes, one of which was the driver, and it would be helpful to know more about what problems are still present.

    Update:

    • I've repaired my game, but the result is still the same.
    • Tried the EA App Recovery.
    • Delete all cache.
    • I've checked configoverride for conflicting software, and there is none.
    • I've checked my DISM health too, here is the result:

    PS C:\Windows> sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan.  This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

    • Try to run my game as usual, and I got this window box, it occurs for couple times now. Not every crash will result in breakpoint like this, but once in a while surely I will get this notice.
