my game has a texture issue i think?

I opened my game recently and I noticed most of my base game items have red and white boxes with question marks and some textures have blue and red boxes with green question marks.  I had uninstalled and reinstalled the game already once and this did not solve the issue, also factory reset and it didn't resolve. I can't play the game as the texture issue makes some parts lag and crash my game. 

I have no clue what it is corrupted on, I had mods and I have removed them from my game as well and that was not the issue it seems. I'm just confused about what to do.

    Cherries_Zeze  Try deleting and redownloading one of your other packs, by itself.  Make sure Steam and the EA App are closed and the EABackgroundService is NOT running in the Task Manager.  (It would be in the background processes list.)  Open the game's install location, here by default:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4

    And delete one pack's folder.  Here's a list of folder names so you know what you're removing:

    Open Steam, reinstall the pack, and see whether its items are still missing their textures.  If this helps, you can repeat the process for one or two packs at a time.  It's tedious, I know, but it's also possible that this problem is related to trying to install everything at once.

    Cherries_Zeze  Try repairing the game in Steam.  The option is called "Verify integrity of the game files and should be under Properties > Installed files or similar.

    If this doesn't help, I just want to check whether the broken items are from the base game, as in not expansions/game packs/stuff packs; or base game, as in, not mods or custom content.  If the latter, please let me know which DLCs have affected items.

      i did do that already and it told me all my files were validated, I have some DLCs, and i thought it was relam of magic at first but i wasn't sure which DLC was causing it or was it base game.  i haven't checked the game after validating as my internet was a bit slow after validating them

    Cherries_Zeze  Please let me know what you find when you test again.  And you can always filter CAS or Build/Buy for a specific pack's contents, so it's easy to see whether that pack is affected.

      i validated it twice and it hasnt gone it seems, I filtered the cas items and realm of magic and backyard stuff ( I recently installed both of those after this issue happened) seem to work normally, and all the other DLCs I own show the same thing like the white and red boxes with question marks.

    i did that and now it works thank you for helping out, I really thought I was gonna lose all my progress, I been installing in segments and it has gone smoothly so far.
