My game has been endlessly freezing and crashing since January 2025. ore this.

I have had the sims 4 installed on my gaming laptop for years now and I can't recall a time it crashed or froze where I had to CTRL + ALT + DEL and lose my progress until January of this year. Is anyone else experiencing this that were not before? Its so frustrating that I have a system that well exceeds the minimum requirements, yet I am having such poor performance when the game worked fine before. I have no mods, Just sims 4 packs and it does seem to have started ever since downloading that death expansion pack.
