My monitor disconnects when running The Sims 4

I just bought The Sims 4 off of Origin and as soon as I tried to run it my monitor disconnects. I have a PC and use a TV as a monitor. I ran a test on system requirements lab website and it returned that my PC can run the game. On the information from this website it says that my video card is a AMD Radeon HD 7560D. The CPU is listed as AMD A8-5500 APU with Radeon HD Graphics. It seems like my PC is able to run the game and even though my monitor disconnects my PC still remains on. My question is if the reason my monitor disconnects is because I cannot run the game with a TV as my monitor? The TV brand is a RCA. Both the PC and the monitor are not new per say but they both work good and the computer is quite fast. Please help...I don't know how I can fix the problem so that I am able to play the sims. I'm sorry if my question does not make any sense but hopefully someone will know what can be done. Thank You

Most likely this is because the game runs at a resolution that the TV can't handle.
Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and make a backup copy of Options.ini for safe keeping. Rightclick options.ini and select Edit.
Search for this line resolutionheight = xxxx where xxxx is a number for the current resolution height. Change it to 600.
Then search for resolutionwidth = xxxx change the number to 800.
    Save the file.
Now run the Sims 4 and see if the TV will run at this resolution.
If somethings go wrong restore the backup you made.

Hi thank you for your help. I tried the steps listed and tried to run the game again. However, as soon as the game is about to open, my monitor screen goes blue disconnecting from the PC like before. I have to manually turn off the PC and restart it in order for it to show on the monitor. I was wondering if maybe the cause could be the cables that are used to connect the PC to the TV? I have attached the picture of the cable used down below. I'm really hoping there is something that can be done...Thank you for your help!

Those are standard VGA cables. An old standard that are hardly used any more. If that is the only way to connect the TV to your PC you may not be able to run the game. Perhaps you should look for a real PC Monitor you can get a cheap one and it would still be far better than the old TV.
