my sims 4 wont reinstall

my sims 4 randomly stopped working the other night, when i try to open my sims from origin nothing opens, i deleted all my mods and cc and it still wont open. I've tried uninstalling origin and the sims and reinstalling but now it wont let me reinstall my sims 4 game, it let me download the create a sim demo but it keeps saying error when i try to install my actual game. Any ideas on how to fix it?

    @itztrickyxx  It seems there are a couple of things that can cause this error.

    1. run Origin as administrator

    2. the game installer is not installing Microsoft Visual C++. Go to control panel - programs and features and see if both the 32 bit and 64 bit is installed.

    3. it seems the creator update remove the Origin options from the firewall and needs to be re entered.

    @itztrickyxx  Did you uninstall the game from the control panel - programs and features? You need to uninstall before you reinstall. Usually the core game is ok but the user data causes the issues so no uninstall/install is needed. To reinstall the game you need to uninstall the game, clean the registry (use ccleaner - there is a free version), move the user data to your desktop, install the game. To set the game to factory setup, all you need to do is move the user data from the documents folder to your desktop. Doing this will make the game like you just installed the game and create a new user data folder. The installer does not know of any files created after the install. Therefore the uninstall wizard does not know of the files and therefore these files will not be removed by an uninstall.

    Thank you, I can’t find the files in my documents? I’ve just uninstalled it from my control panel programs and features but I don’t know what to do next

    I followed the steps that you gave but this is what comes up when I press download on it?? It stays on this screen and then an error pops up
