My Sims won't load up past the opening sims 4 animation.

I recently started having a problem in the sims where my game simply won't load up. I don't have very many mods, but I thought the ones I had could be causing the issues, so those were the first to go.  I deleted all of them figuring I could just build my folder back up when the game was more stable. However, this didn't work. No big deal I deleted the game and re-downloaded it, thinking it was my PC acting up. Nope, still didn't work. Finally I watched a couple videos, tried repairing my game, tried advanced launching into "-dx9", deleted EA all together, redownloaded it onto my computer, deleted and redownloaded the sims 3-4 times, the works. Just to get stuck on that animation screen and then for my game to close back onto itself and bring me back to EA. So what could be the issue? I've tried everything I can imagine, but nothings working, and this has been days on end. PLEASE HELP!!

  • AnimatedTea  If you haven't already, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

If that doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
