Nanoo Nanoo Bassinet

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Latest
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just use the bassinet. Baby sticks to bassinet and cannot be moved. If you want to put a different baby in a different bassinet, this is not possible with the Nanoo Nanoo bassinet. Furthermore, if you hold select and click on the bassinet with a baby in it, it will duplicate the baby an infinite number of times (depending on how many times you clicked the bassinet with the shift key selected - to duplicate). So, I ended up with a lot of babies and had to exit out without saving.
What happens when the bug occurs? Baby sticks to the bassinet and cannot be removed. Baby inside bassinet is duplicated any number of times when shift-clicked to duplicate. This in Build Mode, obviously.
What do you expect to see? I would expect that the baby can be moved to a different bassinet in Build Mode... and, I would expect that a baby is not duplicated each time *-click is pressed with a baby in it to duplicate the bassinet. Also, another issue in this bassinet, but also in all bassinets... why does an Alien baby look like an Alien baby when held, but inside any bassinet, they look like a human baby?/?/?
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Nanoo Nanoo bassinet makes any baby in it stuck so that baby cannot be moved in Build Mode to a different bassinet.  Even further, if shift-clicking in Build Mode, such as to duplicate an item, while a baby is in the bassinet, multiple babies will be created, relative to the number of shift-clicks... literally infinitely.

  • Well, that makes no sense that it puts a baby where it wants and we can’t have a baby be in a decorated item that we choose.

They need to work on why a sim doesn’t know after birth that the baby might need attention and feeding. Maybe someone should make a mod to help with parenting. Even in the same room with a crying baby they don’t know what to do 😞

Then, the bug obviously is the duplication aspect.

     Thanks for your clarification.

I thought it was by default supposed to be that way, but I think it is a mod allowing it... just never thought about it because I guess  I’ve had the mod  from the beginning. I can move babies to and from all other bassinets including the most recent with Realm of Magic... just this one can’t, so I thought it has the issue. Thanks for bringing the clarification to me and it makes sense... the modder just probably forgot this one became it’s not easy to find in Build mode library anyway.

Oh I missed that... I’m sorry...

I just my folder and looks like it is:

Baby with Hidden Crib (default) by LiKo

  • I saved the game, and came back to it the next day prepared to bulldoze my whole lot and I had just made, a huge mansion for my sim family to have their first set of children in. But when I looked in the Bassinet there was no baby at all. I immediately opened build buy and deleted the bassinet, (150 simoleons it cost😞) and now the weird alien baby is finally gone, after countless efforts to cheat/trick the game into deleting the bassinet and alien baby.

Also before I saved the game the previous night, I hired a Nanny to watch the baby on the lawn and he never picked up, feed the baby...I was going to delete him if he did with the baby in his arms. I closed the game down after the Nanny left for the day. I don't know if that did anything....
