bharro88 You can try copying one of your saves to the new folder, to see whether it works. If it does, try your other saves too.
Be sure to test any mods or custom content you want to keep using, but separately from your saves so you can tell what's causing any issues you see.
To repair through Steam, right-click the Sims 4 tile in your library and select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of the game files.
