Hey, so I just downloaded the new DLC and then needed to update the game before playing. I did so and wanted to start a new game save. However, it crashes with a Failure to Load Game text box popping up. I have no mods and have never had this issue before . . . any thoughts on how to proceed. All my drivers are up to date. I bought and downloaded form the EA Launcher.
I am able to load and play older saves but cannot start any new saves without it closing out and getting an error. I am able to create sims in the old saves without issues. I did a firmware update and nothing still wasn't able to get a new save to load.
KitsuneTheRed Please try playing with your computer offline. You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.
If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
Please also list the full path to the Sims 4 user folder as the game sees it. Here's how to find it:
