No sound Sims 4 PC

I have no sound in The Sims 4. I have no mods installed, all of my drivers are up to date. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I have run the fix files option through origin. This issue only applies to The Sims 4, I have no issue with other games on my PC. Please help.

@pixelschubse I finally got it to work. Right click on the Speaker icon on the task bar and select spacial sound and turn that on. (for me it said spacial sound - windows sonic for headphones) I hope this helps.

@Hologram3  The taskbar is along the bottom of the screen, at least in the default Windows layout, and the speaker icon should be close to the right edge.

  • I had the same issues. Right click on the sound speaker icon and click "sound" then you should see something to reenable. Click yes and boom... you can hear voices again

  • I had this issue too. It turned out to be my wifi weirdly enough. I have a ‘wifiname_5G’ and a ‘wifiname’. For some reason my computer was on the 5G one. Switched to the regular and suddenly the menu music started blaring. Might have been something to do with the online features? I don’t know

@esteban077007  Please test a different sound output device that uses a different type of connection, for example built-in speakers vs. headphones connected via jack.  Let me know whether you get sound.

Also, make sure you have NOT added the -nosound command within the EA App.  Open your game library, click Sims 4, select Manage > View properties, and look for any command line arguments in the box.
