Not able to update Sims 4

There should be an update available for the Sims 4 regarding the pregnancies and dragging of dishes, but when I open my EA app, there's no update available. I can start the game without problems, but the pregnancies are still gone and I can't drag any dishes towards the bin. 

I already tried repairing the game, clearing out the cache of the EA app and even launching the EA updater itself. Until now all the earlier updates came through and I could install those without problems.

Is there any way to force the newest update after all?

    LiseAC​  Repairing the game should have given you the updated version.  Did the repair go through, and did you test afterwards?  If you did, and you still don't see version 1.116.232 in the lower-left corner of the Main Menu, delete GameVersion.txt, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, and look again.

    RMA5678​  I've merged your post with another thread on the same subject.  Please see the above.

    Edit:  If you have a Default.ini file inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, this could report the wrong version to the game even after you've successfully updated.  So please remove this file and view the version number on the Main Menu, as above.

    My game said it required a update.  I hit it and it said accept terms.  I okayed on that.  It went through it rather quickly.  I went to click to play the game and it still said that it required a update again.  I don't know what is going on here or how to fix it.

    If you are talking about those numbers when I am in my game well, I can't even get into my game the update is from the EA app.  It won't let me play the game until it is updated.  When I try to update it goes through it and says it still need to be updated and I can do this over and over again and nothing.   I can't even get to the game at all.  I am going to try to repair it and hope that helps.  In my files on my computer I have a GameVersion but no .txt after it.  I only play this computer once a week.  It is a old computer and I have lots of trouble with stuff.  I do hope to keep these games.   I played it on this computer since Sims 4 came out.  I am not sure if I should delete that GameVersion in my documents or not since there is no .txt after it.

    I did the repair and it seemed tor work.  I did get to play my game.

    Noticed when i started my computer that sims 4 were gone from the startscreen. Then i did a 16gb update, and when it was completed the EA wont stop ask me for a update, max 6 mb, easy breezy but the game wont start and last time it happened i had to repair the whole game.
