My problem is that after today's update my game doesn't run. So I don't know if I have any other issues. I put apart my cc / mods before updating. I played in English for some time, though in September I had to change into Spanish due to an update that didn't allow me to play in English. I've paid a lot of money for this game and I can't even play it.

That issue is mod related. Please remove all your mods, especially any UI related mods and try without.

Remove the entire mods folder. Place it somewhere else like your desktop.

Maybe you need to repair the game without the mods or reinstall it.Make sure to delete cache when repairing cause they can hold old mods stuff@evagonbla

That issue is mod related. Please remove all your mods, especially any UI related mods and try without.

As I read online, these mods for now need updating. If you have any of those, take them out for now
If it doesn't work, try to take the mods out and repair your game

My problem is on a mac, I got the CAS buttons to show up, after removing the more columns mod, but my sims are always "see what's happening" after the Nov.7 update, never had this issue before today.

I'm having the same problem with the "Create A Sim" screen.
I have 3 UI mods in my "Mods" folder:
1) MC Command Center
2) More Columns in CAS
3) UI Cheats Extension
After removing the MC Command Center mod, problem still occurs.
After removing the More Columns in CAS mod, problem still occurs.
After removing the UI Cheats Extension mod, screen now works fine.
I asked myself, "Is it just the UI Cheats Extension mod that's causing the problem?"
After restoring the MC Command Center and More Columns in CAS mods back in my "Mods" folder, problem occurs again.
I've concluded that the combination of all 3 UI mods is causing the problem.
If you have any UI mods, ALL of them must be removed in order for the screen to start working again.

Delete this file:
Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\localthumbcache.package
It will be recreated next time you run the game.
