sbradley5 What time of day does this happen? Is there anything in particular you do every time between when you recover a backup save and when it stops working again (add a new build, give a sim a different career, etc.)? If you use mods or custom content, does it help to remove the Mods folder? You wouldn't need to save your progress; this is just for testing.
Thank you for following up. I removed all of my mods, then have slowly added a few back. I have discovered if I let the game sit for a bit, it unfreezes. It seems when the game clock hits midnight, everything freezes except animations continue on pause. Rain continues to fall, my sim shifts back and forth, but I can't click on anything. It does this in live and build mode. It doesn't happen every day at midnight, just every few days. I was on another lot besides my home lot and it still froze. The clock eventually looks like it catches up after a few hours, then it rolls back to 12:03 and starts being playable again.
