@ashleyrene2020 Yes, it is, in all the ways that count. And it's about as good an option as you'll ever see for $400, so if you like the Asus, it's probably your best bet.

what about an hp ryzen 8gb / 256gb?
@ashleyrene2020 That depends on the type of processor. The Ryzen series comes in three versions: 3, 5, and 7, and each generation brings different versions. So it would be easier if you linked the product page or at least listed the full specs.
If you're talking about the HP I linked, it's better than the one you found but not as good as the Asus.
@ashleyrene2020 The link isn't working: it says the item is out of stock or back-ordered. However, I do remember a laptop with those specs for $450, and it would also be fine.
If you really want an HP, this one is $410 and has the same specs as the Asus, except it has 12 GB RAM instead of 8, which could help with multitasking.
It’s at Walmart.com... I definitely won’t be downloading any CC or using it for anything other than sims 4, and I really will only be buying the base game and a few expansions
@ashleyrene2020 I get that, and I was saying I've seen what I think is the same laptop on walmart.com, one that would be fine. I think I fixed the link though:

That would be fine, as would the one I linked for $410 from the HP site. The one from HP is a bit better because of its extra RAM, but you could always upgrade the one from Walmart if you wanted. So either one is a reasonable choice.
