@rottenmeier If you're running any apps that include overlays, e.g. Steam or Discord, please shut them down before launching Sims 4. Disable the EA App in-game overlay as well; I believe it's under Settings > Application.
If that doesn't help, please switch the game to windowed mode and let me know whether it helps. Even if you don't want to play like that going forward, it's a useful test.
