Re: [CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 Failed to Launch Game

Ever since I installed the new updates, I have been unable to play The Sims. The game refuses to load; instead, it crashes before even reaching the loading screen. I keep getting an error message that says there was an issue on EA's end that caused the game to fail to load. I do play with mods, but this almost feels like that marketplace was created to break our mods. I'm a long-time Sims player, and I love the game. I have purchased every pack since the Sims original came out back in 2000. These last few updates have been the most disappointing Sims experiences I've ever had. I really don't want to lose my mods, and I really hope this isn't a ploy to make us purchase CC from the new marketplace.

Update: I was able to get it to start without mods by doing a clean install.

I have the exact same issue. I waited until after the second hotfiix to update, removed all mods, verified game files on Steam and cleared cache in the EA app. No mods in the mod folder. The game starts to load, the first loading screen appears and then shuts down 30 secs later saying there is an issue with the EA app on their end. I tried 5 times. The game was working fine in offline mode yesterday afternoon. This is unacceptable. What do you suggest as a solution?
