Re: Error: The VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully.

@puzzlezaddict  Ok. I did as instructed and while trying to install some of them I got the "waiting for another install to finish" error and by using the task manager and stopping Windows installer I was able to install most of them. Now I'm stuck at the C++ 2010 service pack. I deleted them and tried installing them and got the "Another installation process is running " error except this time stopping Windows installer didn't help.

@Predisposition  Did you try restarting your computer after you got this error?  If so, and it happened again, look for anything running in the Task Manager, for example the EA App or EABackgroundService, that might be trying to install something.  You can kill any suspicious process you find; worst case, you need to reboot your computer again.

If that doesn't help, try a clean boot:

When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled.  If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.

Don't open anything other than the installer, and let me know whether you can now install the 2010 runtimes.

@puzzlezaddict It worked!!! Not the task manager canceling but the clean boot did it. I was able to install C++ 2010 and the game is working again.
