@crinrict Here are my specs
Windows 8, Intel Core i3 3220 @3.3GHz, Intel HD Graphics 2500, 6G RAM
Sorry, do you mean the config.log? I don't have a vid. It happens right after the phone call is placed, before taking me to the world map. Everything looks the same, but it takes a loong time.
This has been on ongoing issue (only in the city), the sims I put in game are new, however were saved in my library before the most recent update. Also, I just realized that the map I put my sims on was a base game save I made before the most recent update. I will create a new base save and try again, just to make sure. I'll also create a brand new sim. I'm not sure that will help, but it's somthing to do.
Thanks 🙂
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@sushicrow yes, sorry, config.log. You probably need to change the extension to .txt to upload.

@crinrict Here ya go. Oh, outside of this issue my game runs really fast, very smooth. I did test with a brand new sim and map, still have issues. Thanks again.
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@sushicrow Since you only have a graphics chips and not a card that might account for lags though.
I will forward this to QA to see if they need more info. - sushicrow6 years agoNew Hotshot@crinrict Ok thanks 🙂

@sushicrow Can you try moving your entire The Sims 4 folder (in Documents) to your Desktop and starting the game back up, do you still have the issue? Thanks!
- sushicrow6 years agoNew Hotshot@SimGuruNick When I did this, I selected the option to change to recommmended settings. After the game lowered my settings, the problems did not go away, but when I did get lag it improved by about 50%.
This is an intermittant problem, I suspect it might have to do with actions happening outside my sim's apartment, like mabe a lot of socials or something. I remember that in the past, some apartments were worse than others.
Thanks 🙂 - SimQARobo6 years ago

Hello @sushicrow
Could you share a video of the lag that you're seeing?
Here are some ways that you can send video: - sushicrow6 years agoNew Hotshot
@SimQARoboSomething really werid happened. As soon as I turned on the in game camera, the horrible lag stopped. As soon as I turned the camera off, the lag returned. I got curious and increased the graphics back to what I had initially and turned on the camera to travel and the lag problem was still gone. I shut the camera off again and the lag returned and was slower than when I had the graphics lowered. It seemed to me like running the camera was shutting something down, which made it easier for my sim travel. That's why there's no link to vid.
Then, I found another Origin update. I have not played enough to say for sure, but most of the lag seems gone after the Orirgin update. I'd appreciate it if you could take when info I gave above and, if you can, investigate further, This is all very strange and I'm concerned that the problem is either still there or will return. If it happens again, I'll try take take a screen shot, if the game lets me.
@crinrict My apologies for not doing the vid thing earlier. I've been playing Sims series for a long time, but forgot that there is in game video, since i never used it. I actually looked for way to do so outside of the game and couldn't, I did try. I'm taking my brain in for a polish now 🙂
Thanks to all for the support!

Thank you for the info. Another idea: If you see the issue again, try turning off Origin In-Game in Origin settings and see if that helps.

@SimQARobo Thanks, I turn that off and more in Origin..I also shut down some windows programs any time I game..None of that is helping this problem.
I post again because it's gotten worse, I did not add any new content. I now have this lag on every map, but it's worst in San Myshuno and Oasis Springs (this was also the case with the previous patch). I made a new game and new sim after the 1.63 update, no mods. In game minutes of lag is one thing, but hours is too much time lost.
The workarounds I listerd previously don't work now.
The only thing that works at all right now is to disable autonomy on my sim, save and roload the game. Then, travel works fine, although it can get tricky to not work well in a multiple sim houselhold. Autonomy can only be turned off on selected sim and sim B or whatever might decide it's time for a cocktial .It's a nuisance to do this every time my sim travels to the point where I lose interest in playing.
I have no travel lag at all when a sim calls my sim with an invite and also no lag when going to festivals (when using the message prompt). Is there a way or could there be a way to do phone travel with the other methods (s)?
Thanks again for your patience and help 🙂

I am also having this lag. But only traveling from San Myshuno. Playing with different households in different worlds I don't experience this lag.
