hi, thanks for replying. i already did what you said above but it still can't recognized it. i even updated the nvidia drivers to see if it helps but unfortunately it don't. can you help me how to fix it?

    @NyliRslan  Please go into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4, open the file labeled config.log, copy the lines between "Graphics device info" (about 25 lines down) and "Options" (about 40 lines down), and paste them into a reply here.

    @NyliRslan  For the Nvidia Control Panel, instead of using the global setting for Sims 4, please use a program-specific setting that says something like "always use the high-performance Nvidia card."  The auto-select function might not be working.

    The dxdiag lists a couple of Sims 4 errors that may be related to the graphics driver, but since the game has been using the wrong card and therefore the wrong driver, you can ignore those for now.

    By the way, does your computer really only have 4 GB RAM?  That model Asus almost always ships with 8 GB.  It's possible that one of the RAM sticks has become unseated, especially if you had the memory upgraded or did it yourself.

    oh i see. ok i will try to do what you asked me to and yes my laptop uses 4 gb ram. might as well upgraded it later. if anything, i will ask your help. thank you so much!
