Re: Resource.cfg file not regenerating upon relaunch.

@eezie_lorenzo  I really don't know why this isn't working, but the next step is to move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and let the game generate a new one.  If you get an error when trying to move the folder, or it copies instead of moving, let me know.  Otherwise, launch the game and see whether there's a new Mods folder with a new Resource.cfg inside.

Moving the Sims 4 folder will also move your saves and other user data to where the game can't find it, but the files will all be intact.  So don't worry about your missing saves for now.  Just add a few mods to the new Sims 4 folder and see whether they work, and we can go from there.

@puzzlezaddict Hi, I have moved the entire Sims 4 folder out of my Electronic Arts folder, and moved it to downloads. I have also launched the game, and no new Sims 4 folder has been generated into my Electronic Arts folder.

I have found that if I just put my mods in the previous file path that I have listed, it works just fine. Just not in the Documents file path. Is it fine if I carry on playing like this?

@eezie_lorenzo  What previous file path do you mean?  But yes, it should be fine to use that location.

The fact that you moved the Sims 4 folder and no new folder was created means that's not the folder the game is actually reading.  So I'm guessing the "previous file path" is the correct location, and that's the entire reason for this error.
