@gersonswhistle Could you create a copy of your save and then remove all your cc/mods and test without on the backup ?

If it still happens, I'm not sure if they do that on discovered mermaids. Maybe she has the mermaid discovered trait.

If you're using MCCC or SimsInfo you can check what hidden traits the Sim has.
