Try restarting Origin as administrator and see if this has any effect. Past this, check that your firewall/anti-virus aren't blocking the game or Origin.

It might be worth downloading Peggle (It's free right now) to test if this has similar issues.

The same thing is happening to me, and is happening with simcity as well. I've logged in and out multiple times, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Sims 3 works fine, as well as sims two and I haven't downloaded my other games on this computer yet so I don't know about them.

Could you post this info: 

1. Click on Start and then type the following into the search prompt at the bottom: perfmon /rel
2. Press Enter to proceed.
3. A window will open and in there you can click on the red circles with a white X.
4. After clicking the X, the info on the bottom will update. Choose the Sims 4 Demo Critical Event one and right click on it and choose "View Technical Details"
5. Now on the next window, choose Copy to clipboard at the very bottom and post this into a reply to us here.

Hello! I've had the exact problem. I did as you said but there isn't any critical event for the sims 4 demo.

Could you check in the task manager if you see any SIms 4 process starting at all.

This seems to be an issue with your graphics drivers.

The Pehook dll comes with some backup program from NewTech Infosystems, Inc

Do you have such a program ? If so, make sure it's not running in the background or reinstall it.

I think that DLL comes from the Intel Graphics Drivers.

Try reinstalling/updating your drivers.

I did that so before i logged out I pressed Launch Origin but first Download Origin and then it brought up a page and it says Untitled so i logged out and nothing changed I am very sad. 😢

That's an issue with your graphics drivers. Try updating them and if that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall them.

Help! I can't download Origin! I keep clicking on the "Download Origin" button and it does nothing. My trial expires in 48 hours ?!
