Re: Sims 4 won't load since last update

@jokeyser  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@jokeyser  You can start moving back your content now.  Test your mods and custom content first, either in batches or by using the 50/50 method:

Keep in mind you may have more than one broken mod or cc item.  Just because you found one that prevents the game from working doesn't mean the rest are fine; you'll still need to test them all.

Once you've sorted through your mods and cc, you can move over the contents of the saves and Tray folders, plus Screenshots if you have anything there you'd like to keep.  The rest can be discarded: the game recreates those files as necessary.
