Re: Sims 4's problem

Sounds like the game itself has defaulted to a resolution/refresh rate that is incompatible with your monitor, as that sounds like an error message displayed by the monitor itself.

Try this:

  1. Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and open the file options.ini with notepad.
  2. Find resolutionheight and change the value to 768
  3. Find resolutionwidth and change the value to  1366
  4. Finally, change the resolutionrefresh to 60
  5. Save the file.
  6. Try the game again.

Report back if this works. 🙂
