Re: The Sims 4 Won't Install - Literally, I've Tried Everything, Help!
Hi @chocckola
First go to C / Program Files (x86) / Origin Games
Once you are in the Origin folder go into your Sims 4 Folder / _Installer /DirectX / redist
Once you are in this folder you will notice a bunch of .rar's.
Delete ALL of the .rar files OUT of the redist folder.
DO NOT DELETE: DSETUP.dll, dsetup32.dll, or DXSETUP.exe
Once the redist folder only has those 3 files that you DIDN'T delete are left, go back into Origin and hit the "Ready to Install" button again and i think you should by fine.🙂
If your issue persist follow this steps 🤔
Ensure that your Firewall and/or Antivirus are not blocking the connection. The easiest way would be adding an exception for the Origin Client.
You need to do this add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports http://help.ea.com/en/article/connection-issues-wi
Clear Origin cache and for this you get a perfectly detailed post from @EA_Nils >>http://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/my-origin-will-not
