I updated my Sim4 game this morning and now my most recent save file is not being recognized. I've done trouble shoot steps to recover, nothing. My latest save file was for 4/26/2026 and now I am only showing save files from January 2026. Any help would be appreciated. The save file slot is still in my saves folder, but I can't find it under load game

what platform are you playing on ? Are you using icloud/oneDrive ?
PC , I turned my one drive off. So I’m not sure if it’s stored there, but it is listed under my save. I’ve renamed it and everything it’s not being recognized

Do you mean the one you are missing is showing in the game or it's showing in your folder but not in the game ?

The game still uses oneDrive.
I'm going to move this to PC tech for further help with oneDrive. Don't really use it so don't have much knowledge about it.
tiesewllms It looks like your computer's Documents directory is still in the OneDrive folder. You can try moving it the standard way first. Open a File Explorer window, right-click the Documents icon (the special one, not a regular folder icon) in the left panel, select Properties > Location, and change it to C:\Users\your username\Documents , without the OneDrive part. Then restart your computer and see whether Sims 4 uses the same location.
If you can't move the folder—you get an error, or the change doesn't stick—here's how to get around it:
Please be very careful when editing the registry. If you follow the instructions exactly as written, and change the location back to %UserProfile%\Documents without changing anything else. Editing the registry incorrectly can break anything up to and including your Windows install, but the steps in Microsoft's guide are safe as written.
