B2HAYES Please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just have a look around and let me know what issues, if any, are still present.
There are ways to install on a new computer without having to redownload all that data, if you're interested, but you'll need an external drive or USB big enough to hold the entire game, so ~60 GB if you own all the packs, more like 20 for the base game alone.
I removed the folder and tried to load the game again. A new folder did not spawn. I got the error message below.
"Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later."
I have gotten that same message dozens of times since so I'm not sure how much longer "later" will be but apparently it has not occurred yet lol! I checked the rest of my hard drive to make sure a folder did not spawn elsewhere, just in case (nothing found).
