sims 1638

Hello When I am installing the SIMS 4, the error 1638 keeps coming out. Now I totally cannot play the game. How to solve this problem? Betty

Could you please post the entire error message you're getting ?

What's your operating system ?

    @crinrict, this is the error that he is experiencing:

    ERROR_PRODUCT_VERSION 1638 (0x666)

    "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel."

    Hi

    Because it is in Chinese, it only says VC+runtime, the install cannot continue.(1638)

    I dont know what the problem is

      Could you check if you have the following Visual C++ Redistributables installed

      - 2010 32 bit

      - 2010 64 bit

      - 2013 32 bit

      - 2013 64 bit

      If you do, try uninstalling them and redownloading through the Microsoft webpage.

        Error: The VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue.

        This is what it says
