Hi,
Thanks for the tips. None of these have worked--it's not my antivirus, and this was happening before the November update. It started at least back to October, I think. I ran it as the administrator, but that didn't help either.
From what I know, dxdiags are for checking computer hardware, is that correct? I know that isn't an issue because I've ran plenty of very demanding games on this computer before and after (it's a gaming computer with a lot of power).

@aramadilyish The dxdiag does a few basic diagnostic tests, but that's not really the point of running one. The point is to provide information about your computer: hardware, drivers, error reports, that kind of thing. It's a useful place to start looking for the kinds of errors that might help diagnose the issue.
Additionally, while hardware could be an issue in theory, this kind of error is almost certainly due to software. Games can use many different combinations of runtimes and other resources, so saying that other games run fine doesn't eliminate the possibility of a problem with one of these resources.
